I guess I will try to no receipt return to Home Depot if all fails for store credit.

If anyone reading these comments has a 779 and wishes it had the kerf cut / XPS light, the 779 and 780 are the exact same saw with the exact same clamshell, meaning the 779 has the internal bosses for the light components. You can get the needed pieces to install the kerf cut light through DeWalt distributors. It's just the light itself, the switch, (possibly an upper clamshell for the switch) and the lighting pigtail. YMMV.
But yeah this is a killer deal for a killer saw. Mine is older and doesn't have the side handles, the thing is a beast and those are a must.
