For those who don't want the stand, like me (because this saw is a back breaker and i want a stand with wheels), you can add the saw alone at 499, then add a filler item ($1.50 sanding disk) to get the $100 off. Can get the saw for $399 and have $100 towards your rolling stand.

For those getting/have this. Shop Nation made a vacuum attachment for this that rocks.

What makes Shop Nation's one better than those that I found on Amazon. I'm curious as I can't tell the difference from their description.

I've seen some complaints about the DWX724 stand that the linked deal is bundled with? What's wrong with it? Heavy? No wheels?

I guess I will try to no receipt return to Home Depot if all fails for store credit.

I smashed the buy button on the deal because I know this is as low as I've seen it.

This seems like a great deal. I would've been all over this a few months ago when all the 779s were on sale with the stand but I wanted a 780 the with the shadow light. I ended up going with the Skil saw and the Rigid stand with the wheels. I really like the features on the Skil at the $200 sale price, but I've had the motor just stop working on two saws now and had them replaced under warranty. If I could return that and get this deal I would.
Doesn't matter given this deal is actually better than the 779, but a few years ago I bought the 779 when it was on sale and then converted it myself to the DWS780 which can be done for considerably less than the normal difference in price between the two.
If anyone reading these comments has a 779 and wishes it had the kerf cut / XPS light, the 779 and 780 are the exact same saw with the exact same clamshell, meaning the 779 has the internal bosses for the light components. You can get the needed pieces to install the kerf cut light through DeWalt distributors. It's just the light itself, the switch, (possibly an upper clamshell for the switch) and the lighting pigtail. YMMV.
But yeah this is a killer deal for a killer saw. Mine is older and doesn't have the side handles, the thing is a beast and those are a must.

How much better is this compared to the DWS716 bundle for $349? That deal doesn't seem to be getting much attention but I don't know anything about miter saws. I am planning to put new trim throughout my house, so I don't think I'll need the sliding feature for cutting larger lumber. What else should I be thinking about?

Mine has not shipped and it has been a few days for just the saw. Hopefully it doesn't go OOS or something for people 😬

Do you have links to the parts to upgrade you 779? How much total for the upgrade?

I bought a 779 for $250. Thanks!

I contacted Acme because mine hadn't either after a few days and they said that Dewalt was working to get them restocked and shipping ASAP. Sounded like a production shortage maybe. Mine finally shipped today. Stand is still pending, but I don't care about it. Only going to resell it anyways as I already have the Ridgid rolling stand.

Is anyone getting shipment notifications? My only experience with acme is ordering a metabo router in October of last year, that I'm still waiting to be in stock. When I called in December, they said it should be here in March. Just hoping to not run into the same issue with this bundle.

I got a shipping notification today with a tracking number. But only for the miter saw. The stand seems to be sent later.

Thank you for ordering from Acme Tools. We have been informed by DEWALT that there is a delay in shipping the DEWALT Compact Miter Saw Stand(DWX724) . Due to production delays and their commitment to maintaining high-quality standards, DEWALT has pushed back the available ship date to early to mid April.

We have been assured that once the DWX724 is ready for shipment, they will prioritize filling back orders, and Acme Tools is dedicated to shipping it to our customers as soon as we receive it at our warehouse.

We sincerely apologize for this delay. If we receive any further updates from DEWALT, we will keep you informed. If you wish to cancel your order, you may do so at any time before shipping. Once your order ships, we will send you an email confirmation with tracking information.

Is there a specific sanding disk you added? I tried one to replicate the deal and it won't work
