Basically "bocadillo de guayaba", an excellent and much cheaper snack when running/cycling, or need to replenish some fuel

Get some canned crescent roll dough, and seal a small slab of this with a small slab of cream cheese inside of a dough triangle. Bake till golden brown, amazing cheap version of Cuban pastry.

Don't be scared if you have never had guava paste, it is very tasty, like a good fruit jam, no seeds.

Any idea how it might taste with some sea salt on it? That's the only thing missing I need for quick bike nutrition.

I ordered a 3-pack of this and it came nearly liquified, and was a big sticky mess. It had been packaged with canned soups and other heavier items. Wish Amazon would have packaged this in bubble wrap. Caveat emptor.
