Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

Yeah, if you maxed out the # of lines, some stupid/shady reps would change the plan to sell the new "free line".

Just got mine. This will be my 6th free line, with 4 paid voice lines, home Internet, 2 protection plans, and one device payment. Got the text that my bill will go up. If I'm still under $170/no I think I'll be happy.

If I can convince my in-laws to drop their protection plans and just buy decent phone cases I could save $36/mo.

just got my free line, was told i would get an email by tomorrow. s this normal? but rep did not budge, charged me 10 dollars.

I don't think there is a stipulation unless I missed something. I do see some reps claim there is a limit of 2 free lines, but nothing in writing. I've dealt with a lot of uninformed reps and am going to chalk it up to unknowledgeable reps. I'm also unsure what plan people reporting this are on or if they received the notice in T Life. My hunch is that these people did not qualify for whatever reason and the rep were just throwing out random reasons or that the rep didn't know about the promo and were incorrectly declining eligible people with a bogus reason.

Got one. This is my 4th free line. Could always use more burner lines.

Edit: On a legacy TMobile One plan. No changes to plan at all.

i realized there was some issue with my gmail and these emails may not have been delivered. did the new number showed up in t-life app too? it did not for me, even after 3 hours.
