Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

How long do we have to wait for him to port back in to keep his number and override my free line?

I've done it in a matter of 5 minutes with the in-laws.

Do you have Kickback feature activated on all your lines?

I was told I'm eligible even tho 2 paid/3 free. I'm set to switch from magenta Max to Go5G + 3/20.

Should I hold off on the plan change until next billing cycle if I add the free line?? I'm sure they could remove that date.

Free lines are not free lines anymore for accounting purposes when you are on the 9+ line plan. Meaning, you pay one base price for 9 lines and then the free line discounts are taken on account level vs. at line level. Meaning, a free line is just a regular line now with a line discount on account level, and regular lines are eligible for KB. All one needs to do (and this is the hardest part) is to get the SOC code for KB added to each of the 9 base lines.

Edit: to clarify, on a 2-8 line plan each line above 2 is an AAL (add a line). On a 9 line plan every line 10 and up is AAL and not eligible for KB.
Okay, I understand. Let's see how this unfolds. I've already noticed that my previous five-free lines display "Line discount" online. However, I haven't seen the "new" line discount yet, but I suppose it may take some time to appear.
A quick question, how can I verify that my "insider discount" is still attached to my account?

So I tried calling with no luck with the most likely North Charleston, SC call center. Been looking to leave expensive T-Mobile anyway and I don't have any free lines or any promotions here.

I've tried three times on TForce. Each time I've been given a different reason why I'm not eligible. I think its a crapshoot.

So kickback promo is only for One plan, not for Magenta plan? Thanks.

BTW, TForce on X is still slammed, but I'm making headway...45-50 minutes between messages, pretty sure I'll be handed off to new shift before long. lol

I have the One plan with 2 paid lines and 3 free lines. I didn't have the banner in my T Life app so I used the chat to see if I qualified. Rep told me good to add, just the $10 fee. He even gave me the option to associate the line on an existing device or have it as an extra line on my account.

Since the TM website has an updated look and feel, I can't find the plan SOC with the developer tools in Chrome. Do you have any idea where you to find it?

Referring to threads like these? [reddit.com] Basically everyone has a different experience with their SOC. I'm on TIULFM9 and kickback always worked fine.

I recommend leaving the plan as is and just wait for the upcoming bill(s). The more changes you make the more possibilities of things messing up.

I get kickback on TIULFM9. If you do end up needing to change, FRLTULF9 does not exist (typo?). The other SOC is FRLTULFM9.

You can read all the different posts [reddit.com] about everyone's different experiences with these 2 SOCs.

Would like to know too...but I found my SOC by asking TForce: FRLTUL4LP, trying for FRLTULF9. We'll see.
