Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

I have two Advantage Unlimited Plus (SWAC) lines and zero free lines. I saw the promo on SD and checked T-Life App over the weekend and saw that I was eligible for the Add a Line Free promo, but it disappeared yesterday when I checked.

I call the sales team at 833-579-2248, rep checked and said i had the promo but put me on hold while he went to ask how to get it added (he said he wasnt familiar with the Advantage Unlimited Plus plan). Anyway came back and confirmed that he can add it but need to pay the activation charge which I paid for after confirming that the plan won't change and also that I won't have any additional costs except the activation charge.

Fast forward to 6hrs later, and I got a text msg that HD video has been removed from my TMO account so I login to see what happened. My plan got changed from Advantage Unlimited Plus to Essentials Military at a cost increase of approximately $10 a month while taking away other perks.

I contacted T-Force via Facebook this morning, and after explaining the situation, it took about 30 minute to get resolved. T-Force agent was working on resolution and I went about my work during the time. I was able to get my original two Advantage Unlimited Plus lines back and also add a third line. I can't see my bill in advance so can't confirm if that third line is really added for free. T-Force agent did reassure me it's added as a free line though.
Thanks for the details; wondering if it's worth risking my AU plans to get this free line. Across 2 accounts currently have 3 paid and 3 free lines already.. .

i read it that someone stated they didnt get the life offer and called tmobile regardless and still got the line added. Additional, people who got life offer still got turned down by tmobile rep. As always, its YMMV.

after sim gets delivered or after you insert the sim into the phone. you should receive at least 1 text the same day that free line promo has been enrolled to your main line. free line gets a welcome text
Thank you so much for your info. Very much appreciate it. Promo is valid till March 26? Getting the SIM on Friday...I asked the guy...i have a brand new sim card...that he could have activated for the new line...he insisted and charged DC fee of $10+tax....as long as the line is free...it's all great.

Thank you.

Yes several reports on people adding two free lines but I have yet to see someone confirming the second promo text or the promo for the second free line showing up in their account.

The free line is only for two years then you pay for it.

If you have the time might be worthwhile doing. Definitely be prepared to have your plan changed to "Essentials Military". I've read on reddit that this happened to multiple people who had SWAC plans.

With that said, given the ease that T-Force was able to revert my lines back, it doesn't seem like if your plan changed, they can't change it back. So worst case is you end up spending an hour or two max to fix this after Sales team screw it up.

Guys, I got the free line added. I have One plan. Couple of lines have OnPlys promo and I have Insider hookup on the account .

Gave them my IMEI and they activated the esim on a spare phone I had. Still paid the $10 connection charge.

I got this text to verify:

"T-Mobile: Congrats on your new discount! You will receive your Line Discount ID250259 as long as you maintain eligibility. Visit t-mo.co/Promo1 for account details and more info."
I know it must be pretty old but how did you get the Insider/Hookup promo? thanks

Required opening new account with CSR special Hookup/Insider code. They were allotted a few, but many of us already had existing accounts with great features not replicable with the latest plans.

I agree, until someone provides an alternate promo code, it is very unlikely TMO would run two separate free line offers simultaneously. Perhaps same code with different customer targeted, but same free line offer.

I just tried it and got denied even though I got the notification on my app. The agent said i already have 3 free lines so I am not qualified.
try different agent and ask them whether they see the promo in your segment. As long as you have it, don't listen to the agent about the 2 free line limitation. You can even manually add one and should be able to get the free line automatically. The agents are the gatekeeper to refuse you if you have 2 or more free lines, but the system doesn't care, at least based on the datapoints so far.

I highly suspect there is no second free line offer but reps are happy to add a line hoping to get a commission.
