Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

I have 4 paid lines and 6 free lines on Magenta.
The rep said they will check to see if a free line will be manually approved on my account without losing all the existing promotions. BTW , I did get the text about increase of price per line even though I am on the price-lock Magenta plan. Could be one of the reasons why I got the text for free line as well.

I just tried it and got denied even though I got the notification on my app. The agent said i already have 3 free lines so I am not qualified.

Then I don't think your account was cleared for the promos. Still trying to find out if they are indeed two separate promos, what the promo ID is of the text version, if different, and your experience suggests simply adding a line on your own won't mean any promo would apply if plan not cleared for promo.

It's interesting the last rep I spoke to said the price increase affects the free lines as well. All the other reps in the past said it was only the paid lines. So now idk what to believe

I just called and the guy saw the promo on the account. Added a free line...shipped the sim card via 2 day shipping.

what should i expect on the account and the text/sms to confirm line is free?

I have two Advantage Unlimited Plus (SWAC) lines and zero free lines. I saw the promo on SD and checked T-Life App over the weekend and saw that I was eligible for the Add a Line Free promo, but it disappeared yesterday when I checked.

I call the sales team at 833-579-2248, rep checked and said i had the promo but put me on hold while he went to ask how to get it added (he said he wasnt familiar with the Advantage Unlimited Plus plan). Anyway came back and confirmed that he can add it but need to pay the activation charge which I paid for after confirming that the plan won't change and also that I won't have any additional costs except the activation charge.

Fast forward to 6hrs later, and I got a text msg that HD video has been removed from my TMO account so I login to see what happened. My plan got changed from Advantage Unlimited Plus to Essentials Military at a cost increase of approximately $10 a month while taking away other perks.

I contacted T-Force via Facebook this morning, and after explaining the situation, it took about 30 minute to get resolved. T-Force agent was working on resolution and I went about my work during the time. I was able to get my original two Advantage Unlimited Plus lines back and also add a third line. I can't see my bill in advance so can't confirm if that third line is really added for free. T-Force agent did reassure me it's added as a free line though.

i read it that someone stated they didnt get the life offer and called tmobile regardless and still got the line added. Additional, people who got life offer still got turned down by tmobile rep. As always, its YMMV.

after sim gets delivered or after you insert the sim into the phone. you should receive at least 1 text the same day that free line promo has been enrolled to your main line. free line gets a welcome text
