Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

No. You're already at 9 lines. The billing mode changes only coming from 2-8 lines. You would really only add a line and if the promo is not segmented on your account, it would be $35 per month extra on top of the price increase.

Thanks.. only reason to take risk and hope they don't screw something is to get free line and kickback to help offset the $20 increase.

Wish I could cancel 1 of the 4 paid lines now

Kickback on line 10 won't give a discount, only on lines 1-9

Oh interesting...I did not know that

So essentially only reason would be to possibly keep the 9 and one day cancel one of the four paid lines.

Not even sure if that's possible to do?

can I get free line SIM or esim without a physical phone? I dont have a phone to spare.
If you want to get a free line physical SIM without a phone, call 833-579-2248 for this. After choosing phiscal SIM, you can ask the immediate activation of the line though your SIM isn't shiped yet. Then, you don't need another activation process with the new SIM in a phone. Don't try to chat at TLife, they requested me a phone IMEI.

Here's another possible reason. Use the line.

Called 611 and succeeded at the first time. I gave the promotion ID 250259 to the CSR and she checked the details and said this promotion is targeted but I am qualified since she can see that somewhere in my account. Then she order the new line for me and said there is $10 activation fee. I asked if she can help to waive it. She said she doesn't see the option to do that. Then I told her for the previous promotions, I can either have this kind of fees waived, or if the system doesn't allow, the CSR will charge me and then credit me back. She said yes I can submit the request see if it approves. After 30 seconds she told me the system approved so I can get $10 back later. Just waiting for the update in the T-Life APP to show the discount code to make sure nothing wrong. PS: I have the Megenta one account with 8 paid lines and 3 free lines.

SERO/Advantage Unlimited: it's a big mess for me.

One paid and one Free: call 833-579-2248 about the text for free line. After more than an hour I paid $10 for sim for that line.

This morning my Pandora Premium not working. Then I got texts about discontinued Pandora, Netflix, Apple TV +. Logged in T-Life to find out that guy changed my plan without telling me to ESSENTIAL BASIC and all the perks were gone.

Call 611 for another hour to explain what happened and want my SERO back with all the perks. A lady was nice and fix it for me (not sure I can trust this time) to get it back. She also told me I'm maxed out Free Line, 1 Paid + 1 Free, and cancelled the new add-on line with $10 back to my next billing cycle.

Now I have to wait 24 hrs to see if she fixed it for me. I'll post the result tomorrow.

Just wonder members with SERO said they got it done without changing plan.

Self Service Instructions [reddit.com] manageaccount and promotions-experience packages have all the data and settings for your plan, so you can parse through them to find which line has which promotion. Additionally, you get to see all the data T-mobile transmit about your account, regardless on the visibility to the typical end user.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Appreciate it!

It shouldn't matter if you order through T-Life or your web account. If you are segmented for the promo then you will automatically get enrolled.
What do you mean, "segmented '?

just use sim on non-tmobile tablet you'll be fine. T-Mobile will treat it as byod unknow device.
I have a Metro tablet that is identified in my T-Mobile account when I insert a T-Mobile sim, so I don't think a Metro tablet will work for trying this. Will an iPad show up as BYOD unknown device?

The metropcs Samsung A9+ ($20) works fine with T-Mobile voice sim. no need for unlock. Apple ipad wont work because every providers can detect what it is. next option is get a Chinese brand 4G/5G tablet.

I think the 55+ plan is already a full discount plan, it won't see any freebie promos.
