Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

They're all being jerks to me. Saying that I'm not eligible because I have more than two free lines and then I bring up the FCT and the FCC complaints I'm going to make and they just get even more pissed.
I was told the same on the T-Life app. Then, I switched to T-Force on X and Facebook yesterday, and both confirmed that my plan is eligible and added the line. I had to pay $10 plus taxes and requested a physical SIM. I received a promotion discount text today, and the new line is already on my plan. So, I do believe that having more than two free lines doesn't disqualify us from this free line.

I have had Sero/Advantage Unlimited for years and don't remember Pandora on us as a permanent thing. I had Tidal which they then took away and they offered only a free year of Pandora to make up for it. I don't like Pandora so I passed. Did they end up making it permanent if you signed up for the year?
The Pandora which replaced my Tidal was permanent.

Agreed, and judging by how many people with 2+ existing free lines already opened this one, they'd be idiots enforcing the limit because the line cancellations would be coming in like an avalanche.

It shouldn't matter if you order through T-Life or your web account. If you are segmented for the promo then you will automatically get enrolled.
Hi my friend,
Thanks for the replies earlier regarding my adding the 9th lines with the Magenta 1.0 plan with rep unenrolling the lines promo. Now I just received sim card they sent me, will activate the sim. Also I checked the promotion on the 8 lines I have and saw the new added lines had correct promo attached. the other 8 lines all have their own promo, do you think I am so far there's nothing to worry about? because I was worried that the rep messed up with the original lines promo and inside code when adding the 9th line? Thanks so very much as always. Have a wonderful weekend!

Added the free line last week on 3/13. Promo ID250259 is on the line. However, I got another email today saying this:
Your phone and plan details are below:
Phone: BYOD 3in1 SIM Card
Plan: Magenta (2 line)
Does Magenta (2 line) just means my original 2 line plan or does it mean it added 2 lines? Although there's only one new phone number on the account for the SIM card. But when I go to cost details it's now $155 instead of $120. A few days ago it estimated $180.
I had 4 free lines before and now 5th.

Absolute fustercluck of an experience. Here is what has happened so far:

Previously I had 1 x Kickstart, 1x TI on US, 2 x Home Internet.

March 14 - see promo on app and call. 45 Minutes later I am assured that all is good and SIM is shipped. Charged $10.
10 minutes after call TI on US switched to Kickstart. Now two Kickstart lines show as $40 each. Previously my only line was $25.

March 17 - SIM ships, no new line showing in account.

March 19 - SIM arrives. still no line. SIM connects but doesn't activate a number.

March 21 - Another 45 minute call. My original lines are still screwed up and the new "free" line showing as Go5G Plus. Was assured that all promos will be added in a day or two and all will be resolved within a billing cycle.

Will give them a chance but I am frustrated to the point where I might just close all lines and go somewhere else. Every single transaction with them has been a nightmare...

Bottom line - do it all at your own risk and if you have some random old legacy plan prepare for a bunch of complications.

Just to add - my account does have a banner stating that it has pending plan changes. I will keep updating in case somebody is in a similar boat.

Yup that's why I didn't want to risk my $15 kick-start and 1 uou. When migrated from Sprint to T-Mobile. I got the $25 home internet but they charged me $35 for the uou. It took me 6 months to get it back. They had to manually credit me $35 each month.

Free lines are not free lines anymore for accounting purposes when you are on the 9+ line plan. Meaning, you pay one base price for 9 lines and then the free line discounts are taken on account level vs. at line level. Meaning, a free line is just a regular line now with a line discount on account level, and regular lines are eligible for KB. All one needs to do (and this is the hardest part) is to get the SOC code for KB added to each of the 9 base lines.

Edit: to clarify, on a 2-8 line plan each line above 2 is an AAL (add a line). On a 9 line plan every line 10 and up is AAL and not eligible for KB.
Now, I see the new "Free line discount" under my promotions. I guess all worked out well. I just dont know if Insider Discount is still attached or not. I'll wait until next week for next billing cycle.

My current promos:
Line Discount ID200006
Line Discount ID200008
Line Discount ID200011
Line Discount ID200012
Line Discount ID220005
Line Discount ID250259 (This is the brand new one)
and hopefully the insider discount

my wife has the tmobile grandfathered plan (~$45 + some change) for unlimited data. No offers on tmobile app, but I call in and was able to add a line. Had to pay $10+ tax for the sim card. I still have Boost mobile until June 1st, but plan to port my number in. I was told I have 30 days...

I received the SIM card yesterday, and ordered a Pixel 8 phone (Target deal) as I don't have any 5G phones on hand.

I was able to figure out my SOC, which is TIULFM9 .
Looking at my last bill, I see my promotions as
ID180002; ID200008; ID 200011; ID200012; ID200014 and ID200055.
All of these show a credit of $30 per line. I have 9 lines before adding the new one, so I have maxed out the $40 for autopayment credit.
My account does show the new line, so I have 10 lines (plus internet).
I received a text confirming that the new line has the ID250259 promotion attached.
So even before adding this line, the credit for the free lines stayed at $30. My next bill will not generate until early next month, so I will see if anything changes.

How do you change the number that was assigned by the phone rep? Thanks.

Similar boat but no other free lines for me.
Missed those earlier ones I guess.
Found a comment buried in a reddit thread from what seemed like a rep. Boiled down to saying they're only offering the new free line on bundled family plans, which I guess my Kickstart lines and other old sprint ones aren't. The thing is, they already migrated my billing to the tax inclusive T-Mobile system so idk.

Getting doubtful this works. No promo on account page. The reps I've chatted with insist they see the segment/ID even though I don't.

New bill expected soon. Doubting it shows a discount.
