Got a price match on my 2nd try via agent chat, even though the local (Dallas) Microcenter is Out of Stock.
Details - Trade in MacBook Air M2 15" 8gb, 256gb credit $600!, price matched M4 Air 16gb 256gb at Microcenter $849, so net out of pocket was $249 + Tax. The rep talked me in to a Best Buy plus membership at $49, which netted $75 in credit from the purchase. Not exactly sure how that all works, but it seemed like a no brainer to me.

Did you send them a link that showed your store (Dallas) was OOS? I just got denied on my second try but I've been sending the SKU link that just says out of stock for shipping but also says in store pick up only.
24GB 15" added to the options on Microcenter! Returning the M3 one I bought earlier on this deal and getting the M4 now for $60 more. OOS everywhere, and rejected the first time, but approved the second.

Crap I'm 0 for 2 on the 24gb price match today. What link did you send them? Did it show an actual store or just the SKU#?

Is the trade-in value higher if you are a Best Buy Plus member?

Yes
Customer Care agent: May I have the competitor's link and the product SKU number? The SKU number can be found under the product description on BestBuy.com.

Best Buy is so stupid lol, I have the M2 8gb/512gb ssd and they're offering $500 vs $600 for the standard 256gb. In what world does it make sense to give $100 LESS for the upgraded model?? I wouldn't have even been mad if it was the same, but $100 less is pretty stupid imo.

I should mention that if you're doing an in person trade-in at Best Buy, you must surrender your laptop before they'll give you the new one. I assumed they were two separate transactions, and I could pick up the new one, do the migration at home, then bring the old laptop back for credit but no dice on that.
