The mods did not update it, I updated it myself
Do you really need that 9070XT now? Because based on component pricing, this is literally scalper pricing for that card as the rest of the stuff can be obtained for around 900.
Agreed. If you can wait and you can build your own pc, no this isn't the slickest deal. If you don't build or need one asap (I always scratch my head over the FOMO urgency) then this is at least a system with few compromises and it's available, which seems to be everyone's issue currently. It's weird to see the gpu market go through these cycles of scarcity. If you're patient and don't need this, supply is supposed to get better for gpus, could be weeks or months, but at least you aren't forced into overpaying.

Not sure were people are getting the idea that this is scalper pricing because just a quick run through PC Part Picker choosing lower priced but still quality parts I got up to $1100 before the GPU and OS. If you can get a 9070XT for $600 MSRP and a gray market Windows key for ~$30 that gets you to just $100 less than what this costs and you get a warranty and support here. Seems like a wash.

EDIT: If you have a Micro Center handy, they have a CPU/mobo/RAM bundle for $600 which is $80 less than what my PCPP build cost and the RAM isn't RGB, so it's still almost a wash and presumes you can even get a MSRP GPU.

The same people who told everyone last year not to buy a 40 series, wait for the 50 series!😃 If they listened to theses jokers we would never buy anything as the next big thing is just around the corner and cheaper according to them. Lol😅

Anyone have thoughts about how viable this would be as a STARTING POINT for a local LLM setup. I'm an ignoramus when it comes to building a rig so this may be a dumb question but does this support multiple GPUs? For example if I bought a 3090 off Marketplace can I pop it in for a total of 40GB VRAM? or are there nvidia/amd or last Gen/current Gen compatibility issues that I need to worry about?

(for some more context I'm not looking to run very big or very small models. I'm thinking somewhere between DeepSeek 14B and QwQ 32b, and also something like Wan2.1 for image text to image generation)

Used PCPartsPicker and selected equivalent specs for the component and WITHOUT video card, the total was already $1203.58. Seems like a pretty good deal for those who don't want to build their own PC and factoring scarcity of 9070XT.
SDers believe they can buy components all at once at the lowest price possible.

Quick glance, if you can find all the components on sale.. you can probably save 250 +/- 50 and have better quality control

But in the real world, you will be waiting and shopping for 2&3 months waiting for sales

For those who want to plug it in and not worry, it's a solid price with near top tier performance.

I'm late to the part but I would also like to add that Skytech support is pretty good. I reached out to them for a bad fan bearing and information on upgrading my HDD and they were quick and responsive both times. Not canned answers but personalized and specific responses to my requests.
