For actually working out and going on runs, these are perfectly fine. The person complaining probably doesn't do that and is comparing them to normal shorts you can get at the Gap or Old Navy.
Having said that, the one drawback to these is the logo is really cheap. Mine have peeled off on both pairs I have.
Pros: Super light, very comfortable, look okay.
Cons: Thin enough to be a little see-through, tie is made of cheap material, even cheaper mesh pockets are tiny, and...I know this is strange, but the pockets are in an odd place for shorts. Not at the hip, but actually a little forward of the hip and lower than the waist. Just strange to me.

1. Find all the shit cheap paper thin material
2. Fashion a pair of shorts with poorly placed pockets and fit
3. Include cheap zippers that will fail rendering the shorts useless
4. Include minimal pocket lining that will cause the pockets to develop holes
5. Super thin material that is basically see thru
This is a pair of Temu shorts with an Adidas logo on them.
Pay $10-20 more and buy something that isnt disposable
