These are great. Just pour out the soup and you'll cut the sodium by at least 50%. I sometimes dump some cold leftovers into the hot soup to make a meal. That warms the leftover and cools the soup. Or just open a can of vegetables and add in a few spoonfuls. String beans, peas and spinach are especially nice. If I feel fancy, I might put in some tuna or bits of cold cut.

Ignore the instructions that warn not to microwave. I've been doing it for years. It only takes 2 mins. No waiting for water to boil and then 3 more minutes for it to cook in the cup. Just 2 mins in the microwave and it's ready to eat.

Food safe Styrofoam is made to withstand boiling water with no adverse effects. There is no warning in Asian versions. Nor is there a more expensive paper version for microwaving as there is in America. I trust the Asians.

Get the shrimp. All the shrimp variants have real dried shrimp in the soup. I once lucked out and found 7 shrimps, including one that was as large as my fingernail. As far as I can tell, the chicken, beef and pork flavors don't contain any meat.

Literally what I've done since a kid and never lost a meal... I think this is just because people forget to add enough water when they toss it in the microwave or overcook it... such a simple concept...

The actual reason is because over heating styrofoam can leach chemicals like styrene into your food. It's partly why styrofoam food containers has been slowly phased out in some states from restaurant to general sales.
I don't think pouring boiling water into the styrofoam container is that much better either, but I haven't really look into it. I'm also not sure what the coating is used on the current microwave-able marked paper containers but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets banned a few decade down the road.

Do with the information however you want. If you choose to microwave it or not, I don't care.

Food safe Styrofoam can easily withstand >212°F liquids with no leeching. The soup in this ramen can get no hotter than that. In fact, in 2 mins, it doesn't get hotter than 191°F in my microwave. The problem only comes in with fatty foods since the smoking point of fat can reach >300°F.We've even used Styrofoam cups to heat some water-based samples in the lab with no fear of contamination.

The reason for they got rid of Styrofoam containers in fast food restaurants is purely ecological. Normal Styrofoam doesn't biodegrade. McDonald's started the trend decades ago with their Filet O'Fish. The original blue Styrofoam containers are now considered collectibles.

There is simply no epidemiological data showing that people who heat food in Styrofoam have higher morbidity or mortality. They've looked into these noodle cups in Asia since the 1970s.

I'm not sure what your point is. The first video says that problem is the BPA which the ramen was stored in. That video is very old. BPA is no longer used in food packaging.

The other part simply says that instant noodles don't digest as fast as fresh noodles. First of all, the researchers admitted that they didn't know what that meant. No diseases or adverse effects can be linked to it. And frankly, I think it's great. Slower digestion leads to three effects: 1) it keeps you full longer. 2) you don't get sugar spikes (noodles are starches). 3) some if it goes through your intestines partially digested. That means FEWER CALORIES. These three features are why we recommend high fiber foods to patients!

So I'm not sure what your point is with the videos. Aside from the high salt contents, can you link any morbidity or mortality with instant ramen? They've looked into this quite a bit in Asia and found nothing besides the salt (which can easily be lessened by using less of the flavor powder and pouring out the soup).
