Correct me if this is wrong. Found this online. The monthly fee is $6/month if you want to use the LTE but while the LTE module provides convenient smartphone control, it's not mandatory for the basic functionality of your Compustar remote start or security system.

It's all free at checkout. It added installation and a wire harness Showing installation at $140-140 and wire harness $39-39. Total with tax and everything was about $260 here in ny.
I had a compustar (non LTE) installed at BB about 5 years ago. It varies by vehicle, but it's possible they'll need an extra adapter/harness/wire and they won't know (or tell you) until you're install is scheduled. I think I had to pay an extra $20-$25. I think it's a legitimate cost but it's not included with basic install since it doesn't apply to all cars.

For me I didn't mind, these installs are not easy and it's still a bargain IMO. Living in NH and being able to warm up my truck in the winter is great. Worth every penny.

dumb question. if you don't have a starter now, can you purchase this or this is an add-on module for cars that already have starter systems

Tried putting fitment for my 2014 Rx350 or 2018 rav4 both with push start but says does not fit my vehicle
Yes, have the same problem with my 2015 Sienna and 2016 Mazda 3. I think it's bugged. When I click "show me compatible parts" it still shows up

I think something might be broken with the fitment tool. I tried both my cars a 2016 Fusion and a 2016 Accord and neither of them work. When I click on "View Compatible Products" this particular product shows up as compatible. Can anyone confirm?

Aside from lte, how's this compare to the 4905s that's often for sale a few times a year?

Do you need to tell the techs not to activate the lte if you just want regular remote start and not lte? Just don't use the app? Or something else?
Yes. Just tell them when you bring it in for installation.

I have a Compustar. It's true that you do not NEED the LTE service. It's very convenient to be able to monitor and start your car no matter where you are. I uploaded a couple of pics to show you what you see on your phone.

Does it connect to OBD2 port on the bottom of steering wheel?

Does this replace your OEM key fob, or do you carry both?

Stupid question probably but how difficult/costly would it be to reinstall on a new vehicle from another one?
It's less money and hassle to just get a new one. Straight labor time to remove from one vehicle and install in another would likely be close to new price.

Just checked with Best Buy chat. The no comptibility is a glitch. It is compatible. I'd recommend the same for everyone who are seeing it as incompatible. Check with Best Buy live chat.
