Don't get me wrong, 4K is nice, but really depends what you're after. For some people, 1440p + Ultra settings is preferable over 4K + Med/High Settings.

There are def diminishing returns the higher you go.
I exclusively play on a 240hz monitor and a 120hz OLED TV. When I got the monitor, it was not as big an upgrade as the 120hz TV was over the 60hz one I had before that. But now when I go from the monitor to the TV I can tell immediately since I am so used to the high 240hz on my monitor now.
Your statement is mostly correct for watching videos and working, there is little benefit. It is almost entirely for gaming benefit. Some YouTube and other videos sources are in 120hz+ though.
And lastly, no, most folks even mildly considering this monitor are not going to be playing any games at 60hz.
