I might still consider some kind of a trade in option depending on the new 9a price (rumored to be out in 2 days, but who knows), but this is the first phone that I don't know if I'll keep it for years like I usually do.....

Pixel 9a could be $499 with $100 off for preorder on March 19th but $299 is a great price for Pixel 8a with additional target circle savings.

All that said, an 8a might make a nice replacement for my 4a that is getting its battery nerfed by Google.
