I got the 256gb version of this phone when it was released for $350 and I can't see going back to a 128gb version of any phone at this point. It's not a bad phone, but some things annoy me, like the fingerprint reader, which IMO flat out sucks. I like the size, the camera is decent, and it performs well (if I can get into it that is).

I might still consider some kind of a trade in option depending on the new 9a price (rumored to be out in 2 days, but who knows), but this is the first phone that I don't know if I'll keep it for years like I usually do.....

I have a Pixel 6, not seeing enough of a jump in specs to make the jump. The 6 is still pretty solid.

yes Pixel cameras are pretty good.

Thanks for posting this deal, I just purchased this to use as a trade in for the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL at Best Buy. The enhanced trade in value was $490, and Bestbuy is offering the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL for $499 with activation for Verizon. Just to be pedantic, Wi-Fi 6e is based on IEEE 802.11ax, not IEEE 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5). I sure would hope that no one is shipping a new phone that only goes as far as Wi-Fi 5. IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) has been approved and is nearly published.



All that said, an 8a might make a nice replacement for my 4a that is getting its battery nerfed by Google.
