I would not take a chance on this battery tester! I bought one last year, and when I needed to use it I took it out of the box and it would not do anything at all. Seems like a few reviews said that happened to them, too, so buyer beware.

It's a good car battery tester, i bought it last year and it has worked fine so far.

Wonder if you connected it properly. Ive had one for quite a while now and its worried great on a variety of different battery types. In case it wasnt clear from the box: it only turns on if it detects it's connected to an actual battery.

Oh heck, yeah - it was completely connected properly. I'm a decent mechanic and I triple checked the connections. I went against my better judgment buying it after reading several reviews that noted the same experience I had.
