Costco also has a stack depending on member level, e.g. 2% for Exec, + the CC you use.
I'm only talking about stuff everybody can duplicate without having a Costco membership or some special credit card. My BoA credit card has 3% cash back on online purchases (paypal counts). There is also a cash back portal that pays 1%.

you don't need to use the costco credit card at costco
costco membership is common but even without it, there's a 5% head start here and no your paypal stack is not going to be much better if it even catches up

The cash back portal already has the $1.90 pending. Paypal has $4.25 rewards pending. My Bank of America has $2.55 pending. I'm getting a $100 GC for $76.30. I don't know anyone who has Costco membership to lend me since the nearest Costco is 40 miles away. It's not as common as you think. The two friends in NYC that had costco both cancelled their membership because they couldn't recoup the membership fee. Believe me, there were some refridgerator deals from Costco before I would have jumped on except I couldn't borrow Costco from anyone.

Read the thing, it's a e-gift card, no going to Costco needed. I bought it online and got it over email
exec members get it for the same or less as you. So while it's cool you more or less matched it w/o a membership, your original post saying it's much better is off base.

I know it's a e-gift card that can be bought online. You didn't understand my point. Where I live, the closest Costco is 40 miles away. This means none of my neighbors, friends, or co-workers will own a costco membership. It had nothing to do with ordering e-gift cards. I seriously doubt buying e-gift cards and other stuff online would recoup the cost of the membership. I had friends in NYC who owned the membership but they all have decided not to renew because they are actually losing a lot of money. Believe me, I wish I knew someone. I already said that there was a very nice fridge I would have bought but I couldn't find anyone to hook me up.
I considered not owning the membership yet still coming out ahead a much better deal. This is just one time thing. Paypal doesn't give 5% cash back for Best Buy often.

Bro the whole point is your deal doesn't beat Costco. The 40mi thing doesn't matter as plenty of people get Costco memberships for e-deals or delivery only, as shown here with a good discount. If I didn't know someone with a membership I'd still get it myself and never go to Costco because I like shopping online. And yours is temporary while Costco egift cards are available for long periods of time, once per 2 weeks in this case.

How is $100 Uber for $76.30 not beating Costco? Isn't Costco $100 for $80? Not to mention I don't need a Costco membership which is not free the last time I checked? Not to mention I couldn't find anyone with Costco membership I can borrow from. Obviously if you own a Costco membership, you want to recoup the cost and combine it with other cash back if you can. But for people who don't have Costco and couldn't borrow one, beating Costco using other means is a good deal by itself.
My NYC friends who cancelled their Costco told me they could never recoup the cost. There is also the issue of waste. Sometimes they don't eat that much and the food gets spoiled or expired. It defeats the purpose of buying bulk. I needed to borrow the Costco membership to buy a fridge I liked. I asked people to ask the people they know and I couldn't find one.
Where I live, there is only BJ. Most people still prefer going to the store instead of shopping online. I went to the NYC Costco few times. It's always packed. The people that I knew who owned Costco before, they never bought anything online. I just google this stats. Only 6-7% of sale from Costco were done online. Clearly the people who owns costco membership and do online only are a tiny fraction.

Look bro I was just debunking everything u said such as the relevance of costco being far away. If you rather stack like you're doing then more power to u, u don't have to optimize.
