Good deal to get more money out of Target. All for that.

For the reloadable card, what happens in the scenario when you are making a Target or Target.com purchase for an amount greater than the balance you have on the card? i.e. Are you prompted to pay the remaining amount via a different method, or will the transaction fail?

Also, do you still qualify for the 5% off the entire purchase and free shipping?

If it turns out you need to ensure you have preloaded the card with an amount greater than your intended purchase ahead of time, I can see this being a bit inconvenient compared to the Credit or Debit cards.

Thanks in advance!

Is this better or worse than previous Target Circle card promos? I recall there was a time you could double dip the coupon they provided for in-store and online.

Applied for the reloadable card for me and my wife. Approved instantly. Using info in the card account to add the cards to our bank account as external checking accounts. Will load the cards with $55 each when they arrive and spend them at Target. I read some posts on Reddit about people's experience with the reloadable card, trying to add money to it in a Target store is a real hassle.

So do you get $150 if you get all three cards and make $50 each in purchases?

Opened a reloadable Target card. Spent $50. Returned $5+ item. Bought item for $4.69 same day. Had $1.81 left as balance on reloadable card. Target Reloadable Customer Service said I didn't qualify for $50 reward because I didn't spend full $50. No exceptions. Had a terrible time trying to add money to Reloadable Card initially. I had to take cash to Target to add to reloadable card. Took 1.5 hours on the phone at Target store Customer Service talking to Reloadable card Customer Service to figure out how to get money loaded. Target Reloadable Card is actually a demand deposit account (checking account). Waste of time. Terrible foreign Customer Service.

That's what many people said on Reddit. Only very few Target employees know how to load money to the reloadable card. So I used the card's bank routing number and account number (shown in the account's Direct Deposit form) to set up the card as an external account in my bank account. Waiting for the micro deposits to come in so I can verify the card account and transfer money to it.

A Target GC can only be used at Target (online or in-store). The reloadable card is a VISA prepaid card which can be used anywhere a VISA card is accepted.

I've had a Target Red Card for several year. I applied for a reloadable card a few days ago and was approved instantly. I think a Target Red Card is very similar to a Target debit card.

Just loaded up on 3 All Free & Clear laundry soap 141. fl oz., which with the card makes it buy 2, get 1 free technically. It will last for many months! Thanks OP for posting the deal.

How long does it take to get the reloadable? Is it generic or customized?
