1.5 cubic ft instead of 2.0 cubic ft for most other brands, so consider the cost per cubic ft when comparing prices.

I guess 5 for $10 mulch won't be coming back this year?

I am looking for wood chips instead of mulch for avocado trees.

Thanks...I didn't see it in the local ad for my NY/LI area store. Just $3.98 for 2 cu ft premium mulch in the ad preview. Not sure if it's a regional thing.

FYI. The breakeven price for 0.75 cu ft is $1.875 or even cheaper when compared to buying better quality soil locally sourced. In other words local soil purchase incl. truck charges will get you better quality and cheaper soil. Add mulch to the delivery and you are golden.

If you are new to local soil delivery start with 4 Cubic Yard should cost a total of $150 to $250 incl. delivery depending on where you live.

Lowe's premium mulch feels like a souvenir grab bag—you never know what you might find. Trash, plastic, nails, rubber, extension cords, large chunks of wood—it's all in there.

I've never found trash or plastic in Lowe's mulch. However, my last Ace Hardware topsoil bag was full of pea sized rocks, moreso than I've ever found in the past.

Never has that problem. I buy 20+ bags every year.

It is regional. In my area, it is 4 for $10.

If you're looking for cheaper than that, check out Chipdrop. It's free, but you might get way more than you'll need
