They need an easy way to check their "any participating Great Clips salons". Many did not participate, just saying...

I just received my coupon. Took about 30 minutes. It's the same six digit code coupon as usual. The coupon expires on April 11.

The Great Clips around me are all about $20. So this is a good deal. Makes it half price before tip.

dumb question probably, but does "claimed by April 4th" mean it has to be *USED* by april 4th or can you "claim" it and use it a later day?
Theres a later expiration date on it.

$19 here, so one dollar less than the current local coupon!
That makes no sense. $19 is total price. With this coupon applied, you would get it for $9. You would be getting it for $10 less $19. Or the way this is written, $10-19 = $-9

Got a haircut the other day at my local he great clips. $25! Plus tip and there goes over $30 for a cut. Less than 30 minutes in n out too. Pretty crazy. On top of that had I had this coupo it would not have accepted it but will offer you $5 off. Seems very YMMV based off the franchise
"...had I had this coupon, it would not have accepted it.." Your location would not have accepted it.
"...but will offer you $5 off.."
But somehow, I guess you called them and they stated that they would give you $5 as consolation?

Was told by 2 separate locations near me that they could not verify if the accepted the code until checkout. Be a rude awakening for some im sure. Nasty work.
Always have a back up plan. I mean I do not mind paying the amount that the Great Clips near me charges. If I have to used a coupon, I just half what I saved and tip it to the barberess.

For those who want multiple coupons with multiple email addresses, I believe Great Clips tracks the IP address and voids coupon after one use. Is using VPN better for one of such coupons?
Or maybe just do not abuse the deal and get your one coupon?

No Great Clips for me anymore. They charged me $22 after covid with $0 or $4 or $8 tip. It didn't look ok if I tipped $0, so I had to tip $4, so the total was $26 for a very simple hair cut (as I had less hair than an usual person).Local haircut is $15 + $2 or $3 tip.
That is horrible. These barberesses and barbers count on being paid a tip because they are laboring to cut your hair (more service oriented than a server or bartender). If you are that stingy to not even tip them, then do all the barbers/barbaresses a favor and shave your head. That is NOT cool. I always tip, even if I have to round it off to the next $10. Also, you do not even have to tip them digitally (like by credit card). Zero out your tip on the credit end of things and carry some bills on you at all times. I carry singles and $5s on me all the time in case, for some odd reason, there is a blackout or a global hacking and all the credit readers do not work, anywhere.

Ex. haircut in my area is $18, tip them $2.
If I really save $10, $5 of that will go to their tip and I will get the haircut for $18-$5 = $13.

Do those barberesses put the tips in their pockets or in the same tray with the non-tip money (that's what I saw even when I tipped with cash) and then take the tips out of that tray and put them in their pockets when I'm not there (if they do that, it's like they're stealing from the corporate)?

This is an interesting thought. Do you think that the barbers prefer having no customer than having customers who don't tip? Or do you think that there are more customers with tip that the barbers can serve in a day (i.e. demand is greater than supply) and therefor customers with no tip will lower the number of lucrative customers that the barbers serve?

The tone in your comment doesn't sound nice (or at least normal) to me, but it's ok Smilie

This morning I went to get a haircut and I personally handed a $5 tip to my barberess who went out of her way to cut my hair BEFORE 10 a.m., was courteous, and did as I asked with my hair. All in all, it was a great experience for everyone. I wish I could have given her 20% off $18 and the $5 I saved. I would have ended up only getting a $18-16.60 = $1.40 discount, but it would have been worth it. I keep money specific to give my barbaresses. She ended up taking it and pocketing it(it is HERS, not corporate). The franchise probably makes money off the amount paid, she gets a specific amount and then corporate charges like a 40-50% commission on that.

To your second response, you do it because it is right. In the state I am in, I kind of can gauge the etiquette and I would think most people do not tip, just by the way the ADULTS carry themselves here. Well good, maybe the ones who are sitting down, when I leave, learn from me tipping. "Oh this individual tipped pretty well, maybe I should too!"

During the pandemic, you would have had to know that this kind of job did not do well. It really is putting a salt in a wound if you knew this and still did not tip them. It is not nice or mean, it is just something you do when you are receiving labor services. I was just shocked to read that.

Okay genius, the 'current local coupon' for one location in my city is for a $10.00 haircut... This coupon makes it $1 cheaper, and its valid a week longer too.
