You wouldn't.
Pretty expensive enclosure. Better of buying the single ones and get a good hub to connect them all
Something like this

Enclosures can be had for 10 bucks if you can wait for sales.

If you want to clone drives, it is much quicker using 2 USB ports with seperate enclosures versus one enclosure and it sharing a USB port.

So this can be used normally as a 2-drive enclosure?

Yes. You can only clone to a drive that is same or larger size

I've learned a valuable lesson about buying SSD enclosures. Don't go for the cheap ones, because they're prone to disconnecting randomly. I made a mistake and bought a Sabrent enclosure, but it's been a lifesaver. It comes with an RGB light that I love to use with my Mac Studio. And guess what? It's never disconnected itself! So, if you're looking for a reliable SSD enclosure, definitely consider Sabrent. Trust me, it's worth the investment!

This thing is built like a tank and is also a hardware NVME drive cloner. It uses rubber pieces to secure the drives in place, so it's toolless.

I ordered one a while back and while testing it, was able to boot and run Windows and play games fine off of it.

The fans are ALWAYS on though, and they're pretty loud, but it does help keep your drives cooler.

If you do a fair amount of hardware cloning it might be worthwhile at this price, but just as an external SSD enclosure, I'm not so sure...

I bought this enclosure a few weeks ago at a higher price to clone my OS NVMe drive to a new one. The offline clone button worked well for me and my system is still running well on the new drive. I looked at a number of options and liked how the Sabrent one had offline clone and a fan to cool the drives during cloning. It is not quiet so I think you would not want to use it as a daily NVMe enclosure. I spent over $100 which was probably too much, but at $80 I would consider it a good buy if you're going to be cloning drives multiple times in the future.

Recently ran into an issue with newer Samsung 990 drives and I am unable to offline clone to those drives. Buyer beware

Worth it if you're cloning or upgrading NVMEs all the time. For me I'll just do the single enclosures and clone it with software, because I may need to do that job once every couple years. Still a good deal if you need this tool.
