It is 60 days from activation. Once you get the phone activate it and after that send text to 611611 asking "unlock" it should come back with date. Did iphone 13 in Nov last year.

right before your 30 day service is up, register it with the 90 tmobile test drive..

and when that is up , register it with free instabridge service..

makes for a decent back up 2nd phone to carry around with you.

Only the initial month of service is required.
The unlock should be automatic at 60 calendar days.

You can carrier unlock after 60 days, but it looks like you cannot unlock the bootloader [xdaforums.com].

I did the same.
Instabridge is good except the IP address is Poland in Europe, so Google shows Polish and some apps(like Exxon, McDonald's, etc...) don't work because they think you are not in US. The workaround is to start VPN on the phone for US IP address(I use Windscribe).
