2025 was downgraded with slower Dimensity 6300 while 2024 has Dimensity 7020 about 13% performance lose in CPU in single and multi core geekbench 6

It is 60 days from activation. Once you get the phone activate it and after that send text to 611611 asking "unlock" it should come back with date. Did iphone 13 in Nov last year.

Got this deal last month for my kid and he loves the phone. Very responsive and fast. Great budget phone and at this price point it's almost a no brainer.

Can anyone let me know what happens if after 30 days and having auto pay off, I port out the number will the phone still unlock? Asking as the number I got is good and I would like to keep it may be just porting to google voice

Yes, I believe so. You either wait for unlock in 60 days or call Tracfone sooner and have them "Rebadge" the phone to Tracfone. The latter is how it has worked for Wal-mart purchases of this Straight Talk phone if not activated with a plan.

Can someone confirm?

When I tried it, the first screen it asked me to create a log in, and after that it's just showing some 5g-go plans options. Nothing for the free trial.

Moving up to last years A54 or A35 (free at Total with port) is a big step up in performance from the Moto Power or A16. Camera with the A35 is excellent and leaves my Power and A16 behind as well as other specs too (gorilla glass Victus, IP67 waterproof, bright 1,000 nits AMOLED screen. I'm hanging on to this one for awhile.

Can I buy and not renew the service for a second month?
I just the phone for some apps, don't need it unlocked, will not need it for phone service.
