For me, the true value of points is decided by whether you have a card that makes them transferrable to airline and hotel programs. I suppose you're downgrading in order to apply for the Sapphire Preferred from this thread. If that's the case, the value will not change.

I've already got this card, so I had my wife apply and she got instant approved. Not showing in her Chase app though, which is weird. Usually it's digitally available right away

Yes, if you applied using the Chase link as Chase pulled my credit record immediately after I applied.

No. If your last bonus received was less than 48 months ago, you'll be automatically declined by the system without a hard pull.

I thought the wait was 24 months from your last Sapphire Preferred SUB before you can apply again. Did they change it to 48 months?
