Note that the female and male cord ends are flipped on this. I can't figure out why. You would need a female to female extension cord to use this with most electric tools etc.

The 6ft version is also on sale for $15.87 (https://a.co/d/2CFsIQy). I have that one underneath my van to get shore power (power from house) to the Ecoflow battery . Bought it for $35 last December.

At this price, I may as well buy another for backup.

I put one of these in my boat to connect my battery conditioner/charger to shore power. Works great over the last two seasons!

This something you would use to permantly wire something up and then bring an extension cord to it. Like a vehicle or movable work bench

I have a van that I would like to install this in. What's the best way to cut the 2 inch hole in the side of the van sheet metal. Would a 2" hole saw bit work. I know they work on wood, but I'm not sure if they work on sheet metal

There are other models also on sale, like the shorter version, GCP1, for $10.42 (Amazon claims 65% off)

If your van is a Ford Transit, there is a way to have this installed without any drilling, using this kind of box: https://faroutride.com/product/sh...-d-pillar/

I've been using these for years for the block heaters on my car and truck. Easier to plug in and unplug than a cord hanging out of the grille and looks better. The one I use is the same Noco but it only has a 16 inch cord instead of the 12 foot cord, which is plenty to reach the block heater without having a bunch of extra cord to tie up.

I also just mounted one of these to easily run my car refrigerators inside the car when I have 120v power nearby without having to run an extension cord through a door or window.

You can use a hole saw that electrians use, made for metal such as the Milwaukee hole saws. Also, after you drill the hole, clean up the edge of the hole with a rat tail file and paint the bare metal edge with some rust preventing paint. Rustoleom paint works very well.

Not sure how that works without putting a hole through, unless you run it through an existing hole.

When you install this, protect the bare metal after cutting, use butyl tape, and I suggest Sikaflex around the seams. Silicone wears out and it can leave a terrible residue on the paint.

I'll probably put an entry on my RV or anything other than an actual car or truck to run wires through, whether it's electrical like 110V or solar wiring for my power station.

That's pretty slick, but I have a Mercedes Sprinter. Thank you.
