The 80s were the last age of free range kids. Riding around town on your bike at all hours of the day were typical in suburbs. Nowadays, parents would get called out on social media (unfortunately). Strangely, we still had better manners even though we were feral. The nostalgia of Goonies is what makes it special. It's not a particularly well acted or deep movie, but it harkens to a simpler time for kids

Upvote for a childhood favorite, but I've read the 4K conversion is not great. But good deal if you're building a collection. I'm going to leave the grainy VHS version, with all the quotable lines, in my memories 😇
