I don't plan on using the phone for actual cell service, so unlocking is not necessary. I just want a decent android device to use. Thanks in advance!
Update: I ordered a number for $5 from numberbarn, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Thanks FabulousStranger526!

Heard that normal temper glass protector cannot cover its edge at all, so any accidental dropping will crack the screen on edges - well no such risk for 'flat' screens.
Any thoughts?
But curious why ppl didn't use Google Voice to port out (and of course SMS verification), only $3.
Any trick here?
Also I'm thinking I could use the same port in # TWO times the same time, because it's not been ported yet while verifying?
And once I do receive the phone and SIM, I have the choice not to port the number (when placing the order), and get a new number instead?
I was ultimately able to port in with a different number, so I can confirm at least that you don't have to use the number that you get the SMS confirmation on at time of purchase.

Thanks. That's a good way to catch the deal.
BTW if we add two of the deals each for $55 to the same order, would the 2nd line be cheaper as $40? I tried this way but seems cannot get the free phone.

The popup check coverage but never eligibility.

I have a glass protector on mine, but haven't dropped a phone in many years. If you frequently break things, then maybe look at another device.
I've been using curved screens since the Galaxy S8.

I sold 7 and made over $1k. Not bad for paying $35 for each phone.
