You can see the IMEI in your total wireless account, so you can activate it when it is on the way.
I couldn't find the IMEI number after I logged in my TW account. There was no "line" with my account. I would guess I have to wait until they ship the phone, so that the phone assigned can link to my account. Is that right?
Thanks!

Yes, you have to wait until you receive shipment email notification. It will then shows up and you can activate and complete porting.

$55
15% chase CB
$7.50 other CB
Total $39.25
Did the Google Voice port with no issues.

I'm a visible customer, I activated the phone with the supplied Total wireless sim...Calls worked and texts within minutes of port.

Shut the phone down, installed my visible sim...Had to restart phone twice. Phone works fine with visible sim installed, still shows carrier locked in settings but I guess Verizon is Verizon.
Super slick if nothing weird happens with using that sim.

I haven't tried the tempered glass, but these Supershieldz protectors work great for me, and have a lifetime warranty.

I'm using this cheap case. Works well for magnetic wireless charging and keeps a pretty thin profile for the phone.

The 3rd party ID thing (Veriff) in a no-go for me. They are not a US company and who knows where my ID and biometric info may wind up.

3rd party verification with selfie and id upload required. Also requires a number port-in.

Thanks, repped!

I ordered a number for $5, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Pretty easy!
Do you mind if you can share the steps you followed to port in number from numberbarn? After looking at your message, I just bought a number but don't see the port out information on the app. Also Total Wireless website says the numbers are not eligible for port in.

So to complete my report:Received the phones two days later. I bought them both from the same Total account. Immediately activated one with the number from numberbarn. You need to find "Other" in the middle of the list of the providers to port from. It will ask for account/pin from numberbarn. No SMS will be sent during this process. The porting happened immediately, I was able to make a call within 2 minutes.I then bought the second number and it took longer for number to appear in numberbarn, than to then transfer it to the second phone. With both phones activated I see my bill at $85 (discount), but I also see that autopay is not enabled. I am going to wait a bit and remove the payment method.Overall it all went great
Thanks for this...was looking for this info. Account #/Pin from Numberbarn show up under "Port Out" on the numberbarn site FYI.

2/ easy to hold?
3/ not too thick?

How could you activate the phone without the phone in hand? Did you get to know the IMEI before you received the phone?

I am going to order this Moto Edge 2024, and port out the number from my current service from Mint Mobile, but the service will end in 3 days(I am not going to renew the plan with Mint Mobile). I worry about if I can't receive the phone in 3 days, I will fail to "port in" the number from Mint Mobile, then Total Wireless may charge me full price for the phone... Is it a risk for not receiving the phone and porting in the number on time?
Thanks!
When the order is verified (credit payment and ID check passed), you'll see the number listed in your total wireless account. No need to have phone or IMEI in hand. You choose that line number from your account and complete the porting in 5 mts. I have done it for 2 lines and no issues. I have not received my phones yet.

I don't feel faster is needed. Its battery life is decent, so you won't be charging often in the first place.
