Well today is my day 60, and not unlocked. I will leave them on WiFi over the weekend and if not unlocked by Mon, I will be calling the unlocking dept.
The unlocking doesn't always happen on Day 60. I have had many TF, ST, TW phones. The unlocking had happened on Day 59 through Day 61.

Can anyone recommend a good screen protector and case for this phone? I have been looking and it seems like the tempered glass ones for this phone aren't that great because of the curved screen

I had a couple of Straight Talk Galaxy A15s that didn't unlock on time either, and had to call the unlocking dept. That was a very odd situation as they said the phones were both showing "unbranded" - like brand new unactivated phones. That was not the case. I gave the guy the IMEIs and phone numbers that were activated on them. He verified that info and sent me to CS to create accounts to put the IMEIs on - they created Total Wireless accounts for some reason. Then I was transferred back to the unlocking dept and they remotely unlocked them in 15-20 min.
I hope that isn't the case again. Like I said, I'll give it a few days and then I'll be calling if needed.
I got it from TW and was told they didn't have this on their network, went to motorola who said TF had it and called the unlock department but nothing!

I haven't tried the tempered glass, but these Supershieldz protectors work great for me, and have a lifetime warranty.

I'm using this cheap case. Works well for magnetic wireless charging and keeps a pretty thin profile for the phone.

That sucks. All I can say is keep trying. Total and TracFone are the same company, and the unlocking dept is the same for both. I guess jyou ust need to get ahold of a person who knows what they are doing. Good luck with that.

Quick question. I have placed an order for Moto edge 2024 and phone is on the way. In the meantime I have activated the service without the phone in hand. Now my question is, do I need to put the sim on the phone to unlock. Or would it automatically unlock since I have activated without sim (thinking of gifting it to a school student). Thanks.

How could you activate the phone without the phone in hand? Did you get to know the IMEI before you received the phone?

I am going to order this Moto Edge 2024, and port out the number from my current service from Mint Mobile, but the service will end in 3 days(I am not going to renew the plan with Mint Mobile). I worry about if I can't receive the phone in 3 days, I will fail to "port in" the number from Mint Mobile, then Total Wireless may charge me full price for the phone... Is it a risk for not receiving the phone and porting in the number on time?
Thanks!

Looks like the A35 is also free. Which one is better?
If you want to take it international then also check the LTE and 5G bands, not sure if they are identical, and it all depends on your destination.

You can see the IMEI in your total wireless account, so you can activate it when it is on the way.
