I don't plan on using the phone for actual cell service, so unlocking is not necessary. I just want a decent android device to use. Thanks in advance!
Update: I ordered a number for $5 from numberbarn, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Thanks FabulousStranger526!

I started the port in process for a number barn number, and within a day on the number barn website it stated the port out was complete. So I canceled the number barn account.
The phone can call out, but if you try to call into it you get a message that says the number is parked at number barn. The phone also is not receiving or sending text messages. It's been about 2 days. Did I mess it up? Or should I keep waiting?
For me it's mostly a great phone. I would agree with other's that would prefer to not have the curved edges but it isn't a deal-breaker for me. Lack of data card slot and phone jack are also slight issues for me.
I will say, in my market, the other brand phones may have been easier to resell even tho I think this is a better phone. It took me about 6 weeks to sell on fbm at a price where I didn't feel like I was giving it away.
I had a couple of Straight Talk Galaxy A15s that didn't unlock on time either, and had to call the unlocking dept. That was a very odd situation as they said the phones were both showing "unbranded" - like brand new unactivated phones. That was not the case. I gave the guy the IMEIs and phone numbers that were activated on them. He verified that info and sent me to CS to create accounts to put the IMEIs on - they created Total Wireless accounts for some reason. Then I was transferred back to the unlocking dept and they remotely unlocked them in 15-20 min.
I hope that isn't the case again. Like I said, I'll give it a few days and then I'll be calling if needed.
Anyone else have similar issues? Thinking of just ordering it (with my main line) without actually activating it.
