I used my ID once and it never let me use it again for another deal, it seems the ID quota is only one.

Reps to who can tell me the best way to get a new phone number to port in for this deal.

I don't plan on using the phone for actual cell service, so unlocking is not necessary. I just want a decent android device to use. Thanks in advance!

Update: I ordered a number for $5 from numberbarn, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Thanks FabulousStranger526!

I have the same question. I activated in February and now my phone is still unlocked. I spoke to their customer care and they said I need to do 2 months of service. Can anyone confirm ? Thanks.
you need to insert a different sim from other carriers, then reboot,

You can go here and check out the TF plans: https://www.tracfone.com/phone-service-plans
The cheapest is the $15/month for 30 days of service, Unlimited Talk/text, 1GB per month. TF plans are for people who don't use much data. If you do a lot of streaming, TF is not a good choice.
Goal is just to rebrand to TF and then unlock after 60 days. There used to be this 19.99 -90 days airtime card. I wonder if those can be used thru walmart?
the TF site sells them for those simple bar kind of phones.

What are your thoughts?

Target.com still sells the "Basic" $19.99 90-day 60-minute card https://www.target.com/p/tracfone...A-52580738 . Although it's intended for non-smartphones, there are posts in the TF sub-forum of Howard Forums from people who successfully activated a smartphone with it. Activate the phone online using the ACTIVATE button. Don't provide the card's PIN number to a rep because they will refuse it because it's for non-smartphones.

Will ACTIVATE also trigger rebranding the original ST/Total phone to TF?
Or in short how to go about these steps especially the rebranding part?
TF cs only can rebrand when provided with a higher value air time smartphone plan. Some of them are incompetent.

No, ACTIVATE does not automatically trigger rebranding.
I'd contact TF C.S. to get the phone rebranded to TF first. Nobody in Howard Forums who had done a rebranding mentioned anything about a time plan (basic or smartphone) had to be provided before a rep would do a rebranding.
After the phone has been rebranded, then ACTIVATE the phone online yourself.

New 60 days service for unlocking policy is for devices purchased after April 1 2025 or activated on/after April 1 2025? I had purchased before Apr 1 but activated after!!!

Same shoes.
I purchased 3/28 but activated 4/6 (?). Definitely activated after April 1st so I am not sure if I am subjected to 1 month or 2 months....

I tried to rebrand via the TF CS, they insisted that rebranding possible only when a new smartphone plan pin is provided.
I knew something is fishy.
I called off the process.
I will try later, hopefully getting a easier and knowledgeable CS.
CS did ask me for the IMEI and SIM number which was readily available.
thanks for your input.

When rebranding you will lose current plan & need to buy plan for new service, they probably want a service pin to rebrand/activate at same time.

I already lost the current plan on ST and removed off the inactive line from the account. LOL
Thought phone with auto unlock, but verizon changed the rules.
Yes, that's what the CS say.
But I thought rebranding and activation can be done separately.
First Rebrand chatting with CS
Then activate with plan online of my choice.
Final goal is to unlock a ST phone after 60 days of service.

I've always rebranded & activated at same time but that was over a year ago. It was reported they updated the computer system last month so there may be other changes we won't know about till someone tries. TF/TW/ST is always YMMV.

For the rebranding, can you let your service expire on the phone, then do the rebranding, or it needs to be done while it is still active?

Here is my situation. I got one phone and activated before 4/1. I added a second line and by the time it came, it activated after 4/1. I'm wondering about pausing the first phone, since it should unlock after 60 days. If it doesn't unlock, then I'll do some other method, either by just paying for another month of service or rebranding. The 2nd one I'm going to need to do the rebranding either way. Just don't want to have to pay for two rebranding if the first will unlock automatically after 60 days. Going to pause so that it will still be considered active until after 60 days pass.

So quick question.

I see a $15 month plan on TF. If I rebrand my TW or ST phone to TF, how long will it take to unlock, 30 days (if I already paid for 30 days on TW or ST), or does the rebranding restart the counter and it will be 60 more days after the phone is rebranded? Just trying to figure out the easiest and cheapest way to get my 60 days of paid service on my two phones that were purchased after 4/1.

No one knows much of anything for sure, just that 60 days service is required. Some were told consecutive days but others were not. This is very much a YMMV situation until we have more information.

62 days passed and the phone is still unlocked.
Does the unlock have to be done manually or is it automatic?
I know for iPhones the unlock is usually automatic.
