Duracell should have addressed this seriously years ago. By sweeping it under the rug even if they fixed the issue in newer ones consumers will no longer trust them and every time there's a discussion online it will be mentioned. I would consider it if they publicly acknowledge it and apologize but that I'm sure will never happen, and what they'll get instead is this reputation.

Anything but. Not worth the problems and hassles.
Take the 48 Rayovac AA deal for $11.45 any day over these.
