Where can I get it for $20? I don't see it anywhere for that price. I want to get it so I appreciate any links you can provide.

Solid JRPG with a good story. It's a bit dated now (Ps3 port) but I enjoyed it back then. What I appreciated about the game was it had a solid amount of character battle customization (skills, titles, attacks). As for the story I really liked after the game was done, there is a whole "a couple years later" DLC that is another 20+ hours and builds on the characters and their relationships which I appreciated.

I've played dozens of games in the last 16 years since this first came out. I can say I have forgotten the majority of them. While this game is not in the legendary catageory for me, it's got a solid place in my heart for a good game that I likely will revist again.

Pottery.

I like how Tales of Symphonia ran at 60fps on the GAMECUBE but the re-release ran at 30fps.

The remaster of Symphonia is trash.. It's really glitchy. And you have to save often, if you don't, and you enter a house or another section, it can crash resulting in you doing the things again. I'd rather wait for another improvement of the remaster, stick to the GameCube one

That is because the code for Gamecube is lost, and it is based on the PS2 version of the game that was released only in Japan that was locked at 30 fps. Furthermore, animations are locked to the framerate, so the framerate can't even increase if they wanted to without completely remaking the game from the bottom up. I had a perfectly fine time playing the Symphonia remaster on PS5, no gameplay glitches on my part, the 30 fps wasn't really a big deal either. Only experienced some funky graphical glitches. If you want to complain about Symphonia being 30 fps, then crack open the old Gamecube or emulate the old game. Will miss out on minor things that were introduced in the PS2 version.

Anyways, on the topic, of Graces F, I have it on Switch, and it's actually been great.

You can emulate it and get better performance than these remasters lol. I've been purchasing old games for a while, ripping them, then playing it on my PC or Nvidia Shield. Works wonderfully! I can't support these lazy remakes anymore. Already bought the games, so I'll play and modify the settings as I see fit rather than buying them a second time.

"Lazy remake" is because they aren't remakes. They are remasters using what is available. Of course you will get better "performance" going off of the 60 fps Gamecube version over the remaster that is using the 30 fps locked PS2 version of Symphonia. And the Switch, although it is the most modern console Nintendo has, is far from being a device capable of doing every modern game at the best quality. Of course it will be better on your PC. My Switch slogs through Disgaea 5 and 6, and Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends turns into a powerpoint presentation sometimes as well.
Keep in mind the limitations not only of the game, but also what the game is being played on. Graces F limited to 30 fps is really only on the Switch, and honestly, it doesn't surprise me. I'm just happy I have a convenient way to enjoy what is an outstanding entry in the series on the go.

My first venture into the Tales series was Tales of Arise. That game was awesome, albeit pretty long I enjoyed it overall. Afterwards I started Tales of Vesperia on the PS4. The battle controls felt odd, navigating between the 2D and 3D planes were odd, and I got hard stuck at some 1v2 fight and shelved it. I'm not sure if I'll pick it up again as I can't even go anywhere to level or get new items or new gear or anything. I do want to experience the other Tales games still but that 1 part put me off currently.
With that in mind, how is this?

Fine, we'll use your term: Lazy "remaster". If a "remaster" can be done completely automatically by an emulator, chances are good that less than a dozen people at the company are required for these kinds of remasters.

The switch is a garbage piece of hardware. It's hardly more powerful than the Wii. I know this because I have several Nvidia Shield and even PSX emulation is a tall order. I also have the switch, but I only ever use it to update hacks then forget about it.

Anyway, the Switch, even as bad as it is, SHOULD be capable of 60fps on this game. The graphics are not intense. They don't require that much horsepower. Poor optimization of the game causes poor performance like this. Which again is back to my original point - this is a lazy remaster that cost Bamco probably $2000 to make.

Just realized it's at 60fps on the PS5 lol. I'd definitely be buying the PS5 version, then.
