I got a couple of these a while back. I won't comment on the price or discount because I got mine through a Brandclub deal. I will however comment on their claim of being "Shatterproof". I had left one laying on its side on my kitchen floor (because, lazy) and absolutely forgot it was there and stepped square on it one day. Solid foot stomp rushing through the room. The thing slid about half a foot or so and I damn near fell on my behind. There isn't a scratch on it and the lid didn't even come off. Also, it will hold just about two family size boxes of cereal. Damn thing nearly made me break my neck and I can't even tell which is the one I stepped on by looking at the two of them.

Seems like this particular model is not airtight due to a gap at the rear of the cereal lid, and the lid has a tendency to fall off when pouring cereal since it's only held by the rear latch when the cereal lid is opened as the lid is the front latch.

I'm still buying one to try as a flour container since it's supposed to hold 18 cups which is roughly 5lbs of flour.

LATE EDIT: Just wanted to say that this container is actually fully sealed (additional seal around cereal lid opening) and that it comfortably holds 5lbs of flour with some room to spare (~1.5 inch of air on top). Good if you just dump flour from the container when you're using a scale to measure, but now I need to buy a narrower 1/2 cup measuring spoon since I usually keep one in the flour container.

I considered for same purpose, ordered one but then decided to cancel. Ultimately prefer the Oxo style with square lid- I imagine square shape is a bit easier to scoop out of, but it is twice the price of this

I'm actually using a smaller Oxo container for flour currently, but the thing is while I can palm the top one handed, other people in the household can't and need two hands to move it, so I figured this might be worth a shot since it seems more one-hand friendly being both narrower and having the grooves on the rear.

They will however do a search on Amazon...you can six of these for $29 and they come with labels and a marker. I use them for filament and they work great

I bought a variety pack at Costco a year or so ago and they all developed cracks in the lid at the hinges. Likely due to the tight fit of the lids and the sharp angles where the hinges attach to.
