I have both the Walker's Razor Slim [walkersgameear.com] (which look identical to these just with a different headband) and the Howard Leight Impact Sport [howardleightshootingsports.com]. I can't speak for this exact model from Walker's, but I want to call out a huge flaw in the Razor Slim. It has two microphones (one on each ear), but they play the same audio in both ears. What I mean by this is that everything sounds like it's coming from inside your head. If you snap next to your right ear, it will sound like it's coming from in front of you, not to the right of you. It does a great job of making loud sounds quiet and quiet sounds loud, but you can't really tell where they're coming from.

By comparison, with my Howard Leights, each ear plays only the audio from its own microphone. I find my situational awareness to be MUCH better with the Howard Leights.

At the end of the day, $30 for active ear protection is an excellent deal. But if it were me, I'd spend an additional $15 to make sure I get a pair that have stereo audio.

I snagged the Razor quads that were on here a couple days ago. I could still cancel them, but I think you've convinced me to just keep that order. If Im understanding correctly the while the tacti-grips are normally more expensive, the only real advantages seem to be the grippy headband and gel earcups? I also got some gel earcups to go with the quads, and I think I'd agree with you that situational awareness would be more important that the silicone headband.
