$1000 cash back less:
- $95 annual fee
- $50-100 opportunity cost for spending $5000 on a card that only gives 1%cb when you could have gotten 2-3%cb.
Still over $800 tax-free profit. Not bad at all.
Considering it. I have one more application before I hit chase 5/24, then wait for a boosted amex gold or platinum bonus.
Any 0% apr period on this?
Will they treat a tax payment at pay1040 as a cash advance? Most credit card vendors treat it as a purchase.

bank checking only. so that option was gone.
The IRS definitely does take credit cards. Inform your tax guy about this and send him a bill for the education. They will charge you a % (I don't remember how much but under 3% I think) and you can check with your state to see if they do. SC allows me to pay income taxes with a card with no extra fees.
The gift card sales at Staples cost you nothing but your time and they spend like cash at most places.
She should be able to. I have multiple bonuses on Sapphire and several INK cards.
Though I recall I had one of these offers some years back (it was $700 in points then) but can't remember how long its been. Not even sure if I will qualify.
What happens to your points currently in the CSR Ultimate Rewards Account? they move over toe CS Freedom? or can I then transfer them over to the CSP?
I guess as a CSR i get 1.5x points per spend and CSP, 1.25x point per spend where as the Chase Freedom is 1.0 point per spend in the UR portal.
Is there a way to get my points moved back to the new CSP card? I think you can, just not 100% certain. Since I have roughly 250k points right now, and don't want to lose the value completely.

I'd get moving on it if I were you though. This offer could end any day now. You only need to wait 4 days to re-apply for the CSP online.

Chase says you can cancel within 30 days with no penalty, but I've been told that's not true.

I was planning to get this card, but now there is the $100 travel offer on three of my freedom cards, and so I'm wondering if I'll be able to meet the 5k spend on the CSP if I get it. I don't need to book with the freedom cards, but that means the CSP bonus is effectively getting reduced.
I think she should be okay given that I got a mailer for the 100K with an expiration date of 5/19.
