Depends on the phone - you can use external drives on phones but the operating system will dictate the maximum size (and most likely you'd have to reformat into NTFS.) the last time I poked it Android had a limit of two terabytes per volume but that was a year and some change ago when I bought an external drive like this for the kid to use on their laptop and pixel.

For those interested, it looks to be $10 cheaper through B&H: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...b_3_2.html

AND no sales tax at B&H if you have a B&H PayBoo credit card, which many B&H regulars have.

There's no automatic 1 year extended warranty on it is there? That's my biggest concern with the PayBoo but no sales tax is great. Not sure if it's worth the trade off.

I don't believe so.
My Amex Platinum gives a 1-yr extended warranty. I'd rather not pay tax, given how I use these things.

Not sure why you'd want to throw them but they could probably withstand a chucking or two. Maybe even a shucking or two as well.
