Yeah no thanks. Not buying a used TV from woot that would be in questionable condition and possibly missing parts. For a few dollars more you can buy a brand new 4k TV with a warranty. This is a suckers deal.
99 bucks for a tv for a kids room is a good deal especially when they're going to probably break it anyway. Not necessarily a suckers deal.

Can't you just plug in a Chomecast, Apple TV etc. to this thing and fix all of these issues people are talking about? I didn't think anyone really used Fire TV anymore

Where are you getting those new 43" 4k tvs for $140?
Walmart etc the going rate seems to be ~$300-350 and maybe $270 for some of the lowest models last I checked. Also fairly confident that any of the low end models are going to have bad RTings reviews.
Best Buy has 3 that goes for that price regularly that I've been watching.

Yeah Walmart has a 43" TCL for $138 now.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/5558619060?

Significantly more expensive, but also cheap and new. 🤷 Though Xumo seems like crap from the reviews if you don't have an external Roku or what-have-you.

Ok, I'll admit I'm a bit behind the game. The last time I bought a TV was back in 2012, and I use it so infrequently, the batteries corroded in the remote after sitting idle for two years.

Speaking of remotes, TVs don't include them anymore!? What about power cables? Do they charge extra for those too?

Weird restrictions on not being sold in NY and WA. Huh.

Also, what a goofy name for a TV. Is it normal for them to catch fire too?

All new TV's include remotes that I've ever heard. This one, apparently, doesn't include a remote because its "refurbished", or probably been used and perhaps was returned by the buyer without the remote. All new TV's include power cords as well. Otherwise I'm not sure how it could ever be used. 3rd party remotes are a thing but I don't think most people have spare TV power cords hanging around. LOL

It's a Fire TV because "Fire" is the marketing branding name for Amazon streaming devices and then later Amazon TV's when they started making those.

Why wouldn't you spend a few dollars more and get a similar TV that is brand new, comes with all accessories, full warranty and you can return if there are issues? You are taking a gamble with these "refurb" units from woot. Just because it's on this site it doesn't make it a good deal.

Does anyone know the voltage of the 43" tv?
I have 220-240v at my other home.
Sometimes tvs are dual voltage, woot page shows no info on voltage.
Assuming it's 110-120v

Yes, but it's more cost and that matters when you are talking about a $100 item.

To me this is an entry level set, and you can get other 43" entry level Roku sets for ~$150 and have a ~2 year warranty using a decent credit card. New, no scratches or scuffs, no dirty remote or missing accessories.

Or just about everyone could find an comparable open box at best buy with a full warranty for around $120.

I don't think $100 is necessarily a bad deal on this, but it doesn't seem worth the hassle to me at that price. Maybe around $75 it'd make more sense.

I got the 50" pioneer xumo for my girlfriends room to replace the small, 10+ year old tv she had and used xumo for a day. It is limited but it wasn't too horrible for being free if you don't have a Roku or something else. I had an extra Roku ultra that we now use for her room.
I have a Hisense Roku 75" Black Friday special from the Christmas before last and it's already getting to laggy for me so I went back to using Apple TV at my house.

Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote (New Condition) **IMPORTANT NOTE** This TV does not ship with the remote. Please add both the remote and a TV to your cart and receive $29.99 off your subtotal.
I added the $29.99 remote to my cart and there was no discount / nothing free about it. Still a pretty good deal for $130.
