2 different things...one is a smart watch the Garmin is a rugged outdoor/adventure watch. I love my instinct 2. Had it for about 2 years now.

Fwiw, I switched from galaxy watch to instinct, the 14 days between charge instead of 2 is worth the lesser screen to me.

Can't compare to galaxy, but I've had many Apple watches. Didn't like charging them every night, and don't do anything on the screen really anyway. This with solar gets me 25-30+ days on one charge, still lets me know I'm getting a call/message, has heart rate, pulse ox, excellent sleep tracking. Some interesting features like golf which tracks you on the course via gps and you can see your distance to the hole. Some other great features. I much prefer it over my apple watches for my use case.
