I have both. The v3 is objectively better in almost every way. But, for some reason, I prefer this one. This has slightly less force required on the joysticks and the back buttons fit my fingers perfectly (my hand is on the larger side at 22cm x11cm). The v3 back buttons are more ergonomic and will probably feel better to anyone that doesn't have the same hand size. This one has drift at really low dead zones and the buttons, Hall effect joysticks, and build quality are objectively better on v3
