FYI - Amazon isn't an authorized Milwaukee dealer.

While this is true, the only time I had warranty work done on a Milwaukee tool the service center did not ask where i bought it. It seemed like they only cared if the tool was within the warranty period by checking the serial. YMMV.
I have had 3 tools repaired through their service center (shipped the tools in). The last one was an edger that failed. Based on the serial number it was out of warranty, but based on my home depot receipt I still had 3 months left. They can baseline off your serial number if you don't have the receipt.

I tried the M12 and DeWalt, for sure the M18 inflator is the best value for power. Will it beat out a compressor? Probably not but let's be honest and think how fun pulling a compressor out is compared to just using this. Both have their scenarios for sure. Most people will be content with this.

I have both the M12 and M18 units. Like everyone else here, I love 'em! Originally had the M12, then got the M18, and now the M12 is relegated to trunk duty.

Between these and all the other Milwaukee tools I've collected, I haven't used my air compressor in a few years. I think the last time I used it was for an air hammer.

Agreed with all the praise for this inflator. I'm currently using it to air up 4 x 37" off road tires after being aired down for the trail. It gets the job done relatively quickly and much faster than the M12 version.

My only gripe is the screw on air chuck is not great for precision jobs. But add one of these clip on chuck and it's perfect. https://a.co/d/dmp6b0I
That looks great, thanks for the recommendation! Ordered the 2-pack!

nope, M18.my pancake is infinitely faster for my car/truck tires...also for things like pool floats, this thing takes forever... i get the pancake out.
Maybe something defective? This thing rules. Set the PSI, screw onto the valve, push on, tires topped off in under 30 seconds. To go from 10psi to 29psi on a 33 inch BFG truck tire it took like 90 to 120 seconds. Can the pancake beat that? Probably but its a hassle to plug it in and drag a cord and/or hose around my truck. The convenience of cordless and the performance of this thing blows me away. I use to air up after offroading and its fast and easy.

Anyone know if a dewalt battery adapter would fit in that battery compartment?

This thing is a godsend. I regularly deflate to go offroading on big 35" tires and these bring them right back up to road pressures with ease.

Can someone who has both comment on just how much faster the M18 is over the M12? Are we talking 4 minutes to fill a car tire with the M12 v. 1 minute for the M18? I need something to fill leaky tires on 3 parts cars and I am tired of dragging my pancake compressor and extension cord around the yard every 6-8 weeks. The M12 is part of kit with a ratchet, screwdriver and 2 batteries and if the m12 can fill a tire reasonably quick, say 2 minutes +- I might go in for that kit at $199.
Thanks

I gave my pancake inflator to a buddy. Clunky, required being plugged in, and the pancake had to be pressurized to put out air, this is way quicker then the pancake compressor I had. As well it's quicker then filling up the big ~20 gallon compressor I have, of course if I had work to do with Air tools, that'd be a no brainer, a pancake wouldn't be enough for those generally either.
