The concern I have seen from others is that the mower uses plastic gears and thus is not a long term (?) solution.

Thumbed down because it has only 1 battery; and it will be expensive to buy another battery separately.

If you buy this make sure you keep proof of purchase and register your battery warranty. Costco was offering a 8 year warranty on the batteries a few years back. I've had to replace two of my 80v batteries in 2+ years. The last time I called my registrations magically disappeared from their system. If I didn't have proof of my original purchase, they would have not honored the warranty.

I have a handful of the 80v yard tools, the batteries are 3 years old and as good as new. Luck of the draw I guess, though I do treat them properly. Stored inside, not charged when hot, etc. Just ordered a mower that comes tomorrow. The only piece I'm hesitant on is the string trimmer. Every GW trimmer has terrible reviews on the string feed system. Wish they would correct that flaw.

Lukewarm. You only get a single battery with 3 tools.

Amazon deal on the 1st was way slicker

I imagine the Costco deal is better as well?

The mower is the LMB455 so it has a dual port battery system but it is annoying they only include one so you don't get extended runtime without spending another $100+.
The LMB456 is out of stock everywhere but it has the adaptive self propelled "Smart Pace" system.

Costco deal is $499 for the mower and 2 batteries. At that price point compared to this one is nearly the same

This combo package is actually a really great deal. Costco has the same Greenworks lawn mower for sale for $500 dollars but its only the lawn mower with 2 batteries. This package has the lawn mower, leaf blower and trimmer but the downside is that its only 1 battery.

So its perfect for anyone that has enough batteries but just wants the mower, trimmer and blower. I got 4 of the 80v batteries but I would prefer to have them all be 4Ah batteries because they are stronger and last longer.

Yes greenworks has lots of cheap mowers but you get what you pay for aka plastic gears that break if you push your mower too hard on wet or overly long grass. They don't sell replacement gears either so you will have to go on ebay and pray someone has made your gear size.

My $300 dollars greenworks 80v lawn mower has lasted me 3 years now, going on 4 years. Just take good care of them and you are set.

Greenworks does have $1,000 dollar metal lawn mower too, same with snow blowers. I plan to upgrade to those metal models in the future as I prefer electric lawn mowers and snow blowers now.

100%, I can do my front, back, side yards with one 4ah. But to get the strip along the curbs I need the second one. I've been running mine for 3 years now, and haven't had any issues with the gears yet. But I'm also not super hard on it. Does have rust forming on the drive shaft pretty bad though.
