I got same kit last year, tool would drain fully charged battery in 2 days to 0. Tried different batteries and it is the tool.

It's high torque. Lol. What do you expect? The battery isn't just supposed to last and last. Are you leaving the battery attached when not in use? How long are you using it each time? This sounds more like a user issue than the tool. I have this, a mid torque and sub compact, and they all last as long as I would expect depending on my usage.

Mannnnn, what should I do? This is obviously a great deal, but I'm hesitating because I'm already into Ryobi and Dewalt ecosystems. I only need this level of torque a scant handful of times per year, so I hate the idea of the batteries just laying around not being used for so long (even with the warranty, it's just not ideal). I didn't go for the recent Dewalt monster torque gun, because even at $250 it's a bit much to buy without having a pro use for it, plus it's 3 pounds heavier than both the Ryobi and Ridgid bigguns. I've really just been waiting for the Ryobi to go back down to 130ish, which would get me into the 1000+ torque arena, with batteries I use often and at the lowest price. But again, this deal with two batteries is just as good, and the lifetime warranty on batteries and everything is a big draw. Aggggh!
I'm in the Ridgid Ecosystem cuz of the lifetime warranty. That said, I get Ryobi stuff all the time. Fleabay sells an adapter that allows my Ridgid batteries to be used on Ryobi tools. I know you have the opposite situation but maybe an adapter plate is made to use Ridgid tools with Ryobi battery?

This is a HIGH torque impact gun. Its large and heavy. You want a mid-torque for everyday type use.

I have one of these and use it for really stuck or difficult blots like Honda crank bolts.

Not a bad gun but the size/weight and more power than most need for DiYers. For other mechanics its good to have as you will rarely use it but worth its weight when needed.

Pretty sure you can buy adapters.

No use, installed battery, slide switch in lock position. Out of 15 tools only high torque would drain battery with out any use. Mid torque can have battery of tool for day and still have full charger. 999

Got this set on sale for $199 six weeks ago, so a solid deal. Just FYI, this set (batteries + impact) sells for $199 about 1/3rd of the time from what I've seen.

Do 'er! Grab an adapter or two and you'll have no regrets. I love my 1/2" Ridgid. Not much it can't handle. Obviously if you've already got an impact this mindset is liable to change.
