It's good for perennial herbs like mint and chives which would otherwise take over the whole garden.

Got this deal last year to hold a hose. Works great. Holds 75' of one of those 'nylon' flexible hoses no problem (with plenty of capacity to spare) and looks nice. Drilled a few holes in the bottom for drainage. The only issue I have with them is that they fall over when pulling hose out because they're so light but I don't really care. Could throw a brick in the bottom if you wanted I suppose.

Fill them half or 3/4 with all natural mulch (like pine bark) and then put your regular bagged soil or something, you're good to go.

Looks like there's 2 versions of this. One had a rubber plug at the bottom and one you have to drill yourself

you're good to go for 12 months, as you'll have to continue adding soil on top as the mulch decomposes.

ChipDrop will bring you a small mountain of woodchips if you're into free biomass.
