No mention of country of origin = no buy.

Thai rice is superior to American rice, and typically any Asian rice has less Arsenic in it.

Not to defend them, but all rice has bugs in it. It's just when they will come out.

You're supposed to store them properly, or else bugs will come out. (I think it is humidity and temp related)

Long short, poor storage conditions, so bugs came out.

(Which is a NO in my book, not because bugs... but you killed rice quality due to poor storage solutions)

Freeze the rice bag. Kills any bug eggs in the package.

My mom used to make us eat them. She felt we needed to be tough. "Just pretend they're pepper!" And we'd cry "We don't like pepper on our rice!"(or cereal, or pancakes, or whatever. But it did teach us to be tough. And with what's happening with our economy, that's a good thing.

Depending on the type bugs it may not work.
When I had a rabbit I would put the alfalfa feed pellets in my deep freeze for a few weeks hoping to kill the moth eggs/larvae. They would still hatch the only solution was sourcing feed that was not already infested.
