Not true, you can return just the trimmer. Add both to cart; you will see pice break down for each tool. There is nothing that would prevent you from returning just the trimmer. In fact, I just came back from the store (see reply below)

I was hoping they would apply the whole $75 off to the attachment. Wishful thinking. They apply a discount to both items instead so returning the trimmer only gets u about a 20% discount on the attachment.

Yes, this is correct. This is why I stated this exact thing in my original post: that the deal saves you about 20% or so on the attachment alone.

They just clearanced out all these attachments a while back. These prices are high compared to that. The tiller attachment was $50 if I remember correctly vs the $120 this way. I just saw the edgers sitting at several stores a few weeks ago for $39.

I'd just throw this out. These Expand-It attachments fit the 80V Kobalt (Greenworks) trimmer head that I have. I picked up the brush cutter at HD for $25 a while back.

Same attachments work for 40V Expand-It Brushless. We prefer that platform
over the 18V any day.

Walmart's Hart brand says it works with Ryobi attachment-compatible tools.
I got their pole saw attachment on clearance a couple years ago. Hop in my time machine, I'll show you!

How's this compared to Milwaukee M18? $299 for trimmer with 8AH battery and free attachment.
Hackable with trimmer at $187 and attachment $112.

I believe all these attachments are universal now? Like these attachments should fit the Dewalt 60v trimmer that's also at Home Depot?
