They work with SPD cleats. So no, not any pedals, you'll need SPD ones.

It's from Simon properties group (think malls and outlets), and many brands use it to offload excess. Def legit. Not free returns though

You can purchase adapters to install 3 bolt cleats (e.g. SPD-SL, look keo, Garmin vector/look delta) but they are a bit kludgy and won't be recessed and hard to walk with.
Also, the toe box on this model is a bit narrow so I had to use shoe trees to stretch out before wearing. The sole isn't super rigid, so you might get hotspots on longer rides.
