I found these too easy for my foot to slip out of while walking, even after doing a runners loop. The velosamba is much stiffer than the regular samba.

There are some alternative 2 hole cleat systems (eggbeater, look x-track), but SPD is the most common.

You can purchase adapters to install 3 bolt cleats (e.g. SPD-SL, look keo, Garmin vector/look delta) but they are a bit kludgy and won't be recessed and hard to walk with.

Also, the toe box on this model is a bit narrow so I had to use shoe trees to stretch out before wearing. The sole isn't super rigid, so you might get hotspots on longer rides.
